Hari Om:As you all know that we are approaching Annual Day program on May 10th 2015. Every year we do present a program on stage, like this year we are planning for a skit. Last week everybody did an awesome job :-) Hopefully everybody have the handouts.please memorize your dialogues before you come to the class.1. Attached is the document for shlokas to memorize for the skit.2. The PA Regional competition at KEDAR center will be conducted on May 2 at Langhorne ashram. You must register for this regional round and schedule your time. Early birds get time of their convenience. Register ASAP. - Shrinija lead the prayer session
- We practiced some common verbs - examples : to -eat, run, fall, dance, go and a few others. The class identified the letters and took turns in reading the verbs .
- The kids were were very happy to learn to write and read names of some animals and birds.
- We decided to play Krishnaha Vadathi (Simon says) towards the end - this is certainly a fun way to reinforce the verbs.
- Concluding prayers.
- We started off with morning prayers.
- The kids had a blast writing vyanjans for consonants of their choice on the board- they are getting good at it. Akash needs some help and practice but he will get there.
- The kids read lesson 6.1 from Ahbyasa pustakam- yes, they read the Samskritam conversations ! We need to work on the speed next . Good Job - Vivek, Shrinija,Ankush and Shrinidhi.
- We decided to play Krishnaha Vadathi (Simon says) - this is a fun way to learn some verbs.
- We did some vocabulary words - please ask the kids the Samskritam equivalent of hand, head, ear, milk and leaf.

- To become familiar with the story, characters and the setting for the skit to be performed during the annual day, we went over the dialogues in English - Please practice at home the dialogues in Samskritam.

We started today's class with prayers. Today, we reviewed words used in simple sentences from the
अभ्यास पुस्तकम्.- namely, एषः, एषा सः, सा ,तस्य ,एतत् ,तत्,अहम् ,एतस्य ,तस्य, एतस्याः, तस्याः .
We learnt the concept of ekavachanam ( single) and bahuvachanam ( plural). The kids reviewed the consonants and vibhakthis and identified the bahuvachanam for both genders .
We ended the class with concluding prayers.
Jan 11th, 2015:
We started off with prayers and reviewed Vowels , consonants and Vibakthis. We identified the consonants in the shlokam ( given here with translation from http://www.learnsanskrit.org/tools/sanscript). The kids did very well and were happy to read and go over the shlokam.
